THE TRIP & THE INFORMATION MEETING HAVE BEEN CANCELLED

If you like:

  • exploring wild areas
  • hiking (or you would like to try it)
  • meeting new people
  • unforgettable adventures

you should certainly join our Wild Wild East Expedition 2012 –

backpacking trip to Polish mountains for foreign visitors

Let yourself:

  • be guided through beautiful hills in the area which is not described in the Lonely Planet guidebook
  • see interesting places which are not easy accessible for foreigners!
  • be amazed by the spirit of the remote Polish areas
  • experience something new and extraordinary in Poland

General information

Bieszczady mountains are the part of the Carpathian Mountain Range, in the extreme southest part of Poland.

The trip is organized by SKPB: Beskidy Mountains Guides’ Academic Association (it is a nonprofit organization and our guides do not earn any money).

The trip will not be very demanding: we will walk trough green hills in the area with not so many facilities for tourists (no shops 24/7, no karaoke bars, no happy pizza!). We will prepare our meals on the bonfire, we will sleep in simple mountains’ refugees and we will have a lot of fun! However, we don’t drink any alcohol during any of the trips.

GUIDES:

Aga Szudarska

PhD student at Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Chemistry.

Loves travelling, especially by bike. Loves cooking, especially on the bonfire. Loves organizing crazy trips. Generally loves the world around her ;) Fascinated by Japanese cultutre.

Ola Nikiel

My name is Ola.

Ola doesn't mean "Hello"! :) It is a diminutive of Aleksandra (or Olga). Yes, it is illogical but this is how it is. In Slavic languages we love diminutives:) Ola is a very common name in Poland, so probably you will meet a lot of Olas here.

After traveling for a while (almost two years in Asia:), I’m back to Poland and I’m trying (and trying, and trying) to settle down.
